There's been a request for instruction on how to leave comments, so here goes ...
1. Look beneath this post and you should see 'posted by Solent Writers' and the time. Next to it will either be 'No comments' (if nobody has commented) or '3 comments' or '4 comments' etc if they have. Click on 'comments'.
2. A box will appear inviting you to 'Enter your comment ...' Type your comment in the box. Just put test, or hello, if you like.
3. Below your newly written comment is a smaller box which says 'Commented as'. Click on the little arrow heads next to that to reveal a list of options.
4. You probably don't yet have any of the accounts listed. If so select one of the bottom two options. (If you do have one of the accounts, select that and click 'publish'.)
5. a) If you selected 'name/URL' type your name where it says 'name' then press continue. Click the blue box marked 'publish'.
b) If you selected 'anonymous' click the blue box marked 'publish'.
6. Because you don't have one of the accounts listed, you may be asked to prove you're human! To do this, click where indicated and then if asked, identify what you're asked to find in the silly picture and click publish again.
7. Your comment should now appear! (I've added some myself so you can see how they'd look)
I know that seems like a lot of instructions, but once you've done it a few times, you should get the hang of it. Feel free to have a few tries and see what happens.
If you'd (eventually!) like to make blog posts yourself you'll need a google account. Once you have one, you can comment using that which makes leaving comments easier and means you don't need steps 5 and 6.
This is an 'anonymous' comment.
ReplyDeleteThis is a 'name/URL comment'.

ReplyDeleteThis is a comment using my google account.
ReplyDeleteThe one above is a comment I deleted as it had a typo!
Pressure is on not to make a spelling or grammatical error! I hope the other members will be commenting soon.
ReplyDeleteYou can safely leave those kinds of errors to me, Alison. I'm very good at them.
